The Bedford Hotel was a lovely stay! Staff are friendly and helpful, and did a wonderful job preparing and servicing our room during our stay. The street is a little busy with traffic at night, but not too loud. Beds were comfortable. The hotel felt very secure, as you keycard in several places. The breakfast was good, and offered a tranquil garden view. The location was very close to sightseeing bus tours and a bus stop, and convenient to the tube. There is no air conditioning, but the windows opened and we were comfortable during our stay.

Unable too cool room or adjust heat- no thermostat or AC. Toilet flush and refill functions poorly. Fixture missing pieces. Handheld shower restricted from moving to clean underneath guest. Paint peeling. Many corners chipped. Furniture scratched worn. Toilet too close to wall. Grout unprofessionally repaired maintained. Toilet rim chipped. Chrome wearing off. I would have happily paid more had I knew of these issues and gone elsewhere. Breakfast was NOT included

The staff and service at the Bedford were great. The included breakfast was very nice. The room itself was very nice and quite clean. We were in a room with two beds. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom leaves a bit to be desired. The bathroom had only one towel bar. Sorry, but with two people, that's not good. Plenty of wall space for another towel bar. The toilet was unable to be flushed twice. We had to wait at least 5 minutes, sometimes 10, to flush again. Not great for two people in a room. The shower was adequate, but we had trouble regulating the temperature. It would suddenly go all hot or all cold. For us, this is a deal breaker. We don't expect all the comforts of home, and we understand that London is an old city, but the toilet situation was not acceptable. We love the neighborhood, but will seek other accommodations next trip.

Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a conference at the British Museum. Excellent hotel, nice clean well-decorated room, lovely friendly staff good food, a really good location for us and off-street parking. Loved it and will return. Oh, and they upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge!

Clean, friendly hotel with fantastic bar and lounge area. 10 minute's walk from Holborn tube station. Rear rooms much quieter due to the green area outside.
