9 months agoDon't venture into a Cafe Rouge very often, but when I do I'm always amazed the chain survives as it's never busy. Went in on a weekday 12:30 and there were half a dozen tables occupied. The food was pretty decent - everything was hot and came out quickly. Chips were fresh and crunchy, chicken was moist. Kids food went down well. Staff were friendly and accommodating of the usual messing around with Tesco vouchers!

11 months agoI’ve come across Café Rouge totally by chance as it was very close to my hotel. I had a vegan breakfast & and an Oat Cappuccino and both were pretty good. Prices are perhaps even below average compared to other similar places nearby. Having said that, the service was very slow and poorly organized, and it got worse as the coffee shop got busier. Positive experience overall but they certainly need to work on improving the attentiveness & speed of service.

a year agoNot quite what we'd hoped for on our evening out. I've always been A Cafe Rouge fan but this wasn't a great example of the chain. The service wasn't as friendly as expected, the calamari was overcooked, the pate had insufficient (Mothers Pride style) today and the salad was somewhat miserable. The food news is that the steak was excellent.

a year agoI have been dined in Cafe Rouge many times in the past but I choose the restaurant in St Katharine's docks. Busy restaurant during dinner time, only 2 staffs are working tonight for table servicing includes check bill and 1 bar staff, expecting a little waiting time for foods. Service is good, friendly staffs, foods are yummy, drinks menu a little expensive. Overall I had a great time dining tonight!

7 months agoLocation is great. Nice and quite. Vegan burgers were ok but not great. Garden salad was made if 80% green leaves, with a few tomatoes, onion, and bits of other vegetables. Vegan cheese was good. Service charge is added to the bill and is confusing since at first I thought of adding another 10%. I think we could have done better else were.
